Black Lives Matter: a message from our CEO

The tragic killing of George Floyd, and the global reaction to it, has highlighted the need to do much more to fight racism and all forms of discrimination.
As a diverse and global organisation, we recognise the challenges of minorities and marginalised people across the world. As recruiters, we’re at the front-line of fair recruitment, to ensure it’s based on merit alone. Together, we need to push harder and faster to support meritocracy for all people and pledge:  
  • We will promote the best candidates for the job whatever their race, religion, sex, sexual orientation, disabilities, or social background
  • We will work with organisations to help them deliver fair hiring, recommending:
    • Unnamed CV’s
    • At least 50% of the people put forward are from diverse backgrounds 
    • Fair selection processes and policies
  • We will have frank conversations and will share inspiring stories of change
  • We will call out discrimination wherever we see it
  • We will educate ourselves, our candidates, and our clients, so that we can all do more to address unconscious bias and ensure equality
Significant progress has been made in many places, but there is still so much to be done. There is so much research proving that diversity is not only right, but it produces better outcomes for organisations – according to Forbes, inclusive companies generate 19 percent more revenue and greater profitability than their competitors. As individuals, and as a business, we must all do better to fight prejudice and drive change.
